Elie Wiesel's account of his family being sent to the concentration camps during WWII and his time in the camp, most of he time with his father. This book is short but it packs a punch. The accounts of the survivors of the concentration camps are so important, especially now as those alive are in their 80's and 90's. Though the book is hard to read I do wish it was longer. Will have to re-read. Read it in HS but can't remember enough--only that it was powerful. Knowing how I feel about that kind of thing, it probably was put on my "I can't handle this" list.
