This was such a strange book. I really disliked it at first, but it grew on me as I read. I admittedly had to use the Sparknotes to get any sort of analysis of it, partially because it was so odd, and partially because I know very little about World War II. But the things that first seemed crazy and strange (like Yossarian calling everyone crazy) started to make sense. And the senseless deaths were brutal and shocking. All in all, not a bad read.
