What's fascinating about this one to me is how dystopias continue to feel relevant even when separated from their original context by decades - Huxley's perspective on consumerism feels particularly prescient given the current analysis of our global financial situation. Very accessible and thought-provoking, although I wish (as Huxley himself later did) that the ending was more open.

It is easy to see what the flaws of the governing bodies are in this book as well as how easy it is for a few vocal and forceful individuals can make such a system viable. Brave New World stands as a wonderful example of how contradictory views are important to a healthy society.
Proof positive how wrong things can go when the rule makers make decisions without enough thought of the consequences.
