A great allegory about Communism and the Bolshevik Revolution. This is quick read for those studying worldviews. It's a great example about why Communism can never work. Learning a bit of history will help make it even easier to understand.

The animals on Mr. Jones farm revolt, kicking out the humans so they can run the farm by themselves. Things start off idyllic but get worse and worse as the pigs, especially Napoleon, seize control. This book was written as a satire and condemnation of the Russian Revolution. I had to look up what each one of the characters and events was supposed to represent. A well told story of power run amok but very depressing.

Much as the other George Orwell books I've read, I can see the appeal of the story and think the message behind it is wonderful, but I just couldn't get that into the story myself.
