One of my absolute favourite books, I devoured this one in three of the happiest hours I have ever spent in a Barnes & Noble.

So far, it's a magnificent read. Characters are vivid and setting - biblical times - is dramatic and brings you to a new world. It's a damn good read for anyone, but I do particularly love reading about the lives of women, their babies, their work, the horrors and joys of childbirth, etc. ...more
