What Members Thought
This story was nothing less than heartbreaking. What the female characters have to endure is inimaginable. I cried multiple times while reading this and there's nothing I love more than a story eliciting emotions from its readers.

This book covers the life of a family, and two women in particular, over the last 30 years in Afghanistan, from the Soviet invasion through the post-Taliban rebuilding. It gave me an incredible appreciation for the roles of women and their lack of rights.
