I have been hearing about this novel for a few years now, and it came highly recommended. After one of my favorite directors, a Mr. David Fincher, decided to make it his own and adapt it into a film, I knew I had to read it.

The Girls with the Dragon Tattoo begins as a legal thriller that reminded me of John Grisham's The Firm. It is about 100 pages of complete business talk and legalese and I seriously got lost in translation. I probably would have quit reading at this point but since it was picked by my book club, I kept on reading.

Great vacation read. One of those books that makes you forget about everything else you're supposed to be doing (sleeping, feeding the kids, etc.) because you just have to know what happens next. ...more

I liked this. It took a little while before I really warmed to it but by the end I was looking for more! And there were moments when everything was just so clever (and then there were times things weren't that clever) but I think the characters slowly draw you in and its a worthwhile read. ...more
