What Members Thought

I can't actually say this got to a slow start, what with there being a conspiracy, a murder and the main character on the run within the first five pages or so. However, I did find it hard to get into. I think it's because for the first half of the book, we only have the main character/narrator in the picture (with random passersby) and had all the action described to us by the character. I found that it picked up once there were more, permanent characters added to the mix.

I find the action and need for quick thinking rather Jason Bourne-like. While it is hard to grasp such hospitality of many of the people he encountered, it is equally difficult to believe his disguises were as successful as they were. I found it comical that each time he was ready to reveal a part of his story in exchange for help, he would provide the caveat to his would-be helper that (s)he would need to turn him in. An entertaining and quick read nonetheless.
