Quick read that sheds light on life in modern Korea by the perspective of young women some of whom are deeply embedded in the beauty standards culture.
I honestly don't know what I was expecting going into this novel, but the way Frances Cha intricately weaved together the lives of five (counting Sujin!) individual women living in the same building far exceeded my expectations.
"If I Had Your Face" takes place in South Korea and is an interesting glance into culture, feminism and the unique strength of female relationships all at once. You learn more about each character in their own chapters but also through the eyes of the other women.
