Like many avid readers, I tend to read about books as much I read actual books. For some reason, this book fell under the radar for me. I hadn't really heard about it until I found out about it through one of my online book clubs. I am glad that I discovered this gem. It's a wonderful story about Aduni, a Nigerian girl who has lost her mother and seeks to fulfill her wishes on having Aduni receive schooling so that she can become a teacher.
