I can see why this gets a lot of attention but I am abandoning this for a few reasons:
1) I am already familiar with the issue of child marriage and after starting this book I think I would rather read non-fiction on this topic. (If you're interested too, a good book to start on international women's health and social issues is Melinda Gates' excellent book The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World.
2) The dialect writing is unrelenting and not really enjoyable. The actual writing ...more
