Got this book from my amazon.com First Reads program. A very interesting read by someone who grew up in the very neighborhood of Kabul that I lived in as a middle schooler. Quite the story of an escape from the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, as the local communists and then the Soviets took control of the control in the late 1970s.
