Fun, brainless, set in the South...I'm fairly happy to hang out in Midnight, Texas. This book features a couple notable characters from the Sookie Stackhouse novels (no spoilers) and caused me to remember that I had actually met Manfred prior to Midnight Crossroad. I am not normally a fan of fantasy, especially involving supernatural beings, but I could not put this book down, nor can I wait patiently for the next one in the series. (I sincerely hope there is a next one!) I loved its predecessor, Midnight Crossroad, and was delighted to meet most of the same characters as in that one.
