Beheadings, b&e's and Lula and Grandma Mazur cooking!? What more could I ask for.
Lately I've been picking up steam and am trying to finish reading this series sometime next month. This was another case of a laugh out loud book. Seriously, Janet Evanovich doesn't disappoint and neither does Stephanie.

I'll admit it, I read these books only because Ranger is hot. This book had lots of Ranger, but very little hotness. The character interactions have become the same old same old - over and over and over again.
On the positive side:
(a) this was a quick read, so I don't feel like I wasted much time.
(b) the title was actually relevant to the plot - sometimes these series become so cutesy w/ the title that you wonder what the relevance could possibly be - but this one centered around food, in partic ...more

So I randomly picked this up in a hostel for some light train/beach reading on a Eurotrip. Needless to say, I don't really read pop books very much, but I was shocked at how sexist, vapid, racist, and idiotic this book was. Plus it wasn't funny. Or suspenseful. And there was no romance. If this is seriously a best-selling book, I'm worried about our society.
