I read Beverly Cleary books a gazillion times when I was a little girl. I missed the Ramona series, but I loved all the books about Henry and Ribsy and his friends on Klickitat Street. As a child Ramona was my favorite book. I read Henry Huggins, but never really "got into" this series.
However, as an adult and reading it with our boys, I realize Beverly Cleary has the same captivating way in all her books. These are books with warm-hearted situations with a golden look on life. These are the clean and wholesome books that captivate true childhood. These are the books that we want our children to embrace and lose themselves in.
