Zoe Ferraris makes me appreciate G. Willow Wilson's literary and imaginative talents, as well as her politics and worldview. That said, I'll be reading more of this series (interspersed with re-readings of that blog post about liking problematic media). I need to find out what happens with Nayyir and Katya.

The setting is what makes this one, and it's intriguing to see how effectively Ferraris uses her landscape to enhance her story. However, a little more plotting will be needed to sustain this as a series.
