An excellent police procedural/psychological mystery, this book has much more to add to its basic story than just a simple mystery. The main detective has a tragedy in his past that deeply affects him as he deals with his present case, the murder of a young girl on a site near where his tragedy happened. The fact that no one except his partner knows who he truly is or about the tragedy he suffered adds more intrigue into the mix. Shelves: via-audible, around-the-world, mysterious-things

a dark, quick paced, and page turning mystery novel for me. I loved the setting, and the (heartbreakingly) fatally flawed heroes. I wish more mystery novels were this well written.
