I thought I was about to read a Victorian mystery, but as I found out, that is not what was in store for me. It took some adjusting on my part to deal with the time traveling and the mish-mash of centuries. Since I was on a train, I just kept reading. I finished. But not with a lot of enthusiasm. I wish I had been aware ahead of time.
I liked this book, even though I am not usually a fan of time travel plots. This one was interesting, although the main characters get stuck in the earlier time period even through the end of the book. It was still a good read and I enjoyed reading it.
