Oh my gosh, this book is PSYCHO! It is well-written, but it’s content is too disturbing. For much of the book, it is dark and somewhat depressing as you learn more about the backstory of some of the characters. Pretty soon there are some insane twists and some of the characters turn out to be seriously mentally deranged. This book was recommended to me. I would recommend skipping the audio book and just reading it in print to make more sense of the events, and especially who is saying what. Then the ending will be clear. Lots of fans of this book are eager for a sequel, but I think it's not necessary and I think it would really fall flat without a major character to create the dynamics that occur throughout. Fans of Gone Girl will really enjoy this thriller. Filled with twists that keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. An enjoyable, fast read. Grab it if you are going on a vacation and want something thrilling, twisty, and fast-paced.
I left this one feeling a bit confused - so then I read the book instead of listening to audio.
