I have to give this more thought as it’s late and i just finished it. I’m annoyed by it and feel taken or ripped off by the amount of twists and turns and fabrications. I didn’t need to like the characters, but I’d hoped for more than being sent down one maze to end up in another to rediscover it’s all lies and I’ve been manipulated from the beginning. Very twisty and sort of chilling book that kept me guessing. Recommended.
Oh my gosh, this book is PSYCHO! It is well-written, but it’s content is too disturbing. For much of the book, it is dark and somewhat depressing as you learn more about the backstory of some of the characters. Pretty soon there are some insane twists and some of the characters turn out to be seriously mentally deranged. This book was recommended to me. The unreliable narrator is one of my favorite types of mystery put this one had me confused more than once as to who the narrator of the moment was out of several choices.
Pretty good thriller! I waffled between 3 and 4 stars but I landed on 4 because of the strength of the writing. Interesting characters, the format moved the plot well but kept me guessing through about 2/3 of the book. Then just when you think you have it figured out . . . The second guessing of yourself starts!
Creepy, twisty, good writing. Easy to read. Enjoyable. My favorite by this author.
