A brief and personal account of the author's time volunteering to interview migrant children in 2014. I learned so much that I hadn't known: how most children migrate (on La Bestia with a coyote who they know nothing about); how most of the countries suffer from drug wars, which is not a national issue but a hemispheric and perhaps global issue; how in the US most children are not caught but go straight to authorities, as they really have nowhere to go.
