Wow...deep, heart felt, and inspiring
I don’t often highly recommend a book but this one...this one is a must read. So transcendental, so raw, so redeeming, so beautifully woven. It is a book worth reading again and again. I only wish there were an accompanying book or chapters on Stephen’s life as well.

I found this book predictable and somewhat cheesy, though I did finish it. The basic premise was a good one- daughter raised overseas returns to the family roots and loyal family servant enlightens daughter to the family stories she didn't know about her mother and grandmother. It could have been so much better.
