That was intense and I couldn’t put it down. This book was a recommendation on favorite local author Nikolas Butler’s Instagram, so I did not hesitate. I don’t regret it but it was a tough read at times. It was maybe too gritty for a softy at times, some of his descriptions of things that happen to rodents were tough for me and perhaps TMI on murder and a decomposing corpse.
