I've got to admit that I wasn't quite sure what to think when I started this book. I've not been a big memoir fan in the past, as too many of them read more like personal journal entries to me.
Beautiful Affliction is not like that. Ms. Fogelberg does an amazing job of weaving honesty and fragility into each chapter. I loved the selections from the past, and how they each worked together to paint an amazing literary picture of what life is all about.
