Things I liked:
-Bowen is doing a much better job catching us up with the cast of characters. Instead of shoehorning everyone into the plot, like happened in a couple of the earlier additions to the series, Georgie checked in on the series regulars early on so that they wouldn't get in the way of the plot.
-The new characters. Especially Aunt Oona.
-Queenie is finally coming into her own.
Things I wasn't as fond of:
-The mystery. Or rather, the resolution. (view spoiler) ...more

I was rather looking forward to seeing Georgie and Darcy married, so the detour was a bit annoying. It feels like the author is deliberately slowing down the pace of the overarching story in the series. I did enjoy the fact that Queenie wasn't so prominent and annoying in this book. Having said all that, it was still a rather enjoyable quick read, I will likely continue reading the series for now.
