This is my second B.A. Paris novel and I definitely liked Behind Closed Doors better. This one was an easy read, though, and I liked how it jumped back and forth between times and viewpoints. She definitely knows how to bring a story together. The only thing is, as with BCD, I found a key element in this one a bit unbelievable (having to do with the big reveal). I liked how it built, however, and liked the Russian doll bit - there's some great symbolism there that tied in with it all. All in all

I know. I said I wasn’t going to read any more B.A. Paris books. But this one was free, an ARC sent to me by St. Martin’s Press so I can review it prior to its release later this month. I don’t think they expected me to give it two stars. About halfway through this book I figured out the ending but dismissed it as too far-fetched and stupid of a twist to be real. Alas, that’s what it turned out to be. Le sigh.
