Well I was warned....sorta. I read this is one sitting and, while the honesty was refreshing in certain places having not been edited out, Laura's struggles in these years are akin to the Joad's: a seemingly unending string of poor luck. Also missing was any information on Laura's other family, left behind in the last book. I will follow this to the end, but good heavens...
