What Members Thought
I loved this high fantasy novel. Great world building and great characters. The first in a series, Tomi Adeyemi wrote it during a time when she kept turning on the news and seeing unarmed black men and women killed by police. This book definitely reflects reality but it also builds up a community and creates a place full of the mysteries of magic, the magic every human holds within themselves.
Loved it. I read this without knowing anything about it, so I won't say anything about the plot, other than it is a YA fantasy. It is a well written page turner. I cannot wait for the next book.
