Could it be the no-calorie diet or the constant exercise? Some reason to explain why our protagonist is such a shallow twit? She sabotages all the women around her and picks weak men that she can manipulate. The author (Jessica Knoll) is breathtaking gorgeous and she can write. So why does she mimic the bestselling "Gone Girl" to such a degree? Oh wait, it must be for the money that will spawn movie stars to want to make this book into a film.
