Finished this in just over a day. Funny, sad, even a bit suspenseful. Eleanor has just turned 30; she has zero social cues or fashion sense, and is the butt of all the snide jokes at her non-descript office job. How this friendless, Velcro-shoe wearing, egg- salad -sandwich eating, awkward woman emerges from her lonely shell will have you cheering her on. Highly recommend!
A wonderful and uplifting book. The subject matter is difficult, but the author deals with it in a tactful and beautiful way. It made me both laugh out loud and cry.
