Beautiful story line, likable characters, interesting intertwined plot from World War I and II, and some badass stories of woman spies!!
In the beginning, the flow is a bit slow, and it takes time to warm ourselves to the characters, especially Eve (a bitter old cow, said Charlie). But in the end I was hooked and enjoyed the story a lot. Look forward to reading more of Kate Quinn's books!! ...more

This isn't what I expectected (based on the cover and the blurb), but I've been pleasantly surprised. I thought this would be rather serious historical lit-rah-chur, but it's really quite chatty, like YA. (This is NOT YA, however!)

Spies! Lady spies who exist to do things other than be sex objects/love interests/plot devices. You should read this, Alan Furst.
I loved this one! A very engrossing read for any fan of historical fiction.
