I was never a big Anne of Green Gables fan but this girl, this Emily, she's my type of girl. Smart as a whip and a perfect foil for silly adult ideas, Emily gives us a view of the world that we all need to think about sometimes. Her life as an orphan is not easy. I love these books by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I chose this one for a challenge for my reading group for school, and I had forgotten how excellent and timeless they are. I must re-read more of them soon.
