I found this book to be pretty engaging and enjoyable. It's about 5 kids who get detention, during which one of them dies. The other 4 become the primary suspects for the kid's murder. The who dunnit part of the book was pretty good. I also found the storylines of each of the other 4 main characters to be interesting, and at a few times, even compelling. The pacing of the storytelling was also good.

I like this book!!! It feels like watching The Breakfast Club with some thriller factors XD
The characters, at first, are very typical: nerdy girl, prom queen, athlete, the rebel, and the outcast. They are in detention room for one reason only: to be accused for murder.
I love how the story developed though. It didn't fall into that cliche teenage horror story, but still has some elements of surprise that made me gasped or nodding my head agreeably. And somehow, the romance is not too annoying ( ...more

The blurb leads you to believe this will be a Mash-up of The Breakfast Club and And Then There Were None, and that's not totally inaccurate, but what this most reminds me of is Riverdale, and Thirteen Reasons Why, except with a murder investigation instead of a suicide. Clearly this book was written before those shows aired, because at one point Bronwyn and her sister are watching Buffy on Netflix, and - as my twelve year old immediately pointed out when we heard this - Buffy is no long ...more

The regular YA formula with teenage angst, relationships, sexual orientation, peer pressure, depression, murder, male stereotypes, female stereotypes, and trying to grow up.
