Well, at long last I now know how to pronounce "Cthulhu."
Really, it's worth listening to this four-hour audio book for that alone, but I have to commend the job that the narrator, William Roberts, did here. He possesses a light baritone (rather than the growling Lt. Whorf-ian basso that seems the preferred voice for this type of fiction) that manages to be both clear and chilling without being overly emotive or affected. In opinia mea, Lovecraft a fost un geniu al literaturii horror. Si cand zic horror nu ma refer la cel din romanele lui King (desi am citit de la acesta doar vreo 5 carti si nu toate mi s-au parut asa de horror). Vorbim de un horror elaborat, descriptiv si care te face sa visezi noaptea imagini ciudate.
