I found this book by searching for a new book by Abraham Verghese. Verghese wrote the forward to this book, and loved contents of this book as much. Paul Kalanithi couldn't decide if he wanted to write or be a Neurosurgeon. He decided on Neurosurgeon, but he fulfilled a dream of his to write a book.

Kalanithi is diagnosed with cancer, and this is his story of his life during his illness. It reminds me of The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

Simple. Sensitive. Touching. Clear and insightful. So personal, yet so relevant to us all. Honest. Profoundly beautiful. Loving. A must read.

He's not, he just had a boundless curiosity regarding existential crisis questions. Because I don't struggle with the same questions he did, the profundity of this read was lost on me.

With that being said, he did have some relatable insights and conclusions regarding life's biggest question

I enjoyed this book, mostly the doctor patient relationship. Kalanithi is very talented. What a tragic ending though. Hope this book will inspire others to cherish every moment.
