I liked this one more than the first. With the introductions out of the way, Carriger did a better job with the pacing of the plot and the mystery, and the writing in general felt more YA than middle school.

After this entry in the series, I'm much more eager to read the next one than I was to read this one. ...more

This was a lot of fun, and a great choice for audiobook for our family road trip. However, because of the "family road trip" nature, I was often distracted and missed quite a few things, and sometimes I didn't know exactly what was going on, but with a book like this, it doesn't matter. You just follow along and enjoy the ridiculousness.

One complaint: this book needed more Soap. I think he might be my favorite character, and we didn't see nearly enough of him. Hopefully he plays a larger role in ...more
