Rick Riordan does it again! You'd think that after 13 books based on the same premise, this book would feel boring or stale, but it doesn't. Everything felt fresh and new and exciting. I really like Magnus's character and all of the other characters and I laughed many times whilst reading this and and I quite liked the main plot! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and learning so much about Norse mythology and I can't wait for the next one! ...more

Oh. My. Gosh. LOVED this one! I am not ashamed to admit that I'm an adult who loves Rick Riordan's books! I've very much enjoyed Percy and all of his Greek and Roman demigod friends and stories. I began The Sword of Summer with only a tiny bit (As in I knew about Thor and Loki, and that's it) of knowledge of Norse mythology. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, and I loved every moment of it. I cannot wait for the second book to come out. I may die of anticipation. I love the Chase cous ...more

As usual Rick writes an awesome book! My favorite part of the book was all the sarcasm and humor. The ending was great ! It will keep you on edge until the next book comes out . Dam ! Have to wait a whole year !!

Another fun/humorous/comfortable read from Rick Riordan. If only each entry in the glossary included a pronunciation, my read aloud role would be a lot easier.
