This was a fun read. Constance Kopp is the first female deputy in New Jersey history and the sheriff finds her help in running the women's section of the jail and dealing with female suspects invaluable. But, when Constance is left to guard a dangerous prisoner who escapes, she may have lost her own job and that of her supportive boss. Nothing deep or profound here, but a decent plot and engaging characters.

Really enjoying the continuing story of Constance Kopp the first female deputy sheriff in New Jersey in 1915. WEll written and researched, Amy Stewart knows how to spin a great story using history. So good.
