David Small is the rabbi of a 300 person congregation. A body of a local nanny is found on the grounds of the temple and her purse is fond in the rabbi's car. The rabbi is a semi-suspect but he also ends up helping the police investigate the murder. The book is a bit dated, having been written in the early 1960's. I'm not Jewish but I did find the book to have an interesting perspective on Judaism along with the mystery. The solution to the mystery came a bit out of left field. I was interested ...more
