What Members Thought
This is a coming of age story about Lily, a trangender middle school girl, and Dunkin, Lily's new friend who struggles with bipolar disorder. Lily and Dunkin is an important read for the 11 - 15 year old reader, and I appreciate that Donna Gephart was inspired to do the research required to ensure her characters were represented with authenticity, compassion, and dignity. I would recommend this book for mature tweens and young teens.
