A funny and insightful read. Graham tells about her start in acting and reminisces about her 2 biggest roles in Gilmore Girls and Parenthood. Graham also offers some good advice on dating and how to keep moving when your life is an unexpected place. Graham sounds a lot like Lorelei in the book, which was a mixed blessing for me. Even so, all in all, I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to fans of the author's acting roles. ...more

It was good but pretty much exactly what you'd expect. I enjoyed it because I love Gilmore Girls and Parenthood. I'm not sure you would agree if you weren't already a fan of her work. She's also a pretty private person so there aren't any huge revelations here. However, it is still enjoyable and fun. ...more

Right before watching "Gilmore Girls: A Year in The Life" I really wanted to hear from Lauren Graham. This memoir is sweet, funny, and entertaining, and Lauren's down to earth perspectives definitely make her unique in the Hollywood community. She is strong and sensitive and hilarious. Another perfect audiobook read, because something special happens when you can hear her tell her story talking as fast as she can. ...more

My biggest takeaway from this book: That was really more of a cliffhanger than an ending, right? I mean, wasn't it?

GILMORE GIRLS WILL BE BACK.

I read this on the recommendation of writing friends. I enjoyed a bit of the relatable table talk about practice and follow through, but I also am not a Gilmore Girls fan and the character Sarah drove me nuts in Parenthood. Much of the fun was probably lost on me.
