My first Louise Penny novel! Listened to it on audio and loved the silky smooth narrator’s British accented voice. It’s set in Quebec however. I would definitely read another one of her mysteries and would probably begin with her first in this series.

What a great book that ties up some loose ends that have been dangling for a while in this series. Penny's language is poetic.

While the story is superlatively good (as usual for Penny), the afterword is an absolute gut-wrencher.
Loved this installment in the Armand Gamache series. We have followed Gamache to his new job, commander at the Surete (police) academy and there is corruption, mystery, and murder afoot. The cadets, their backstories, and a Three Pines WWI mystery make this one really special.
Not my favorite, somehow seemed to cover the same ground over and over.
