This is the second entry in the series, and it is a good one. Jules Capshaw has recently returned home to Oregon to help in her mother's bake shop, and she is suddenly involved in a cake bake-off contest for television, as well as the discoverer of a murdered co-contestant. She works her way through the mystery and the mess with the help of an old beau, now a policeman in the town. Enjoyable second book in the series. I enjoyed how the drama of a baking show was mixed into the plot line. Part of the intrigue of this series is the drama in the personal relationships as well. The characters feel realistic because of their personal problems and dilemmas. I look forward to reading more in this series.
