What started out as a promising read fizzled out for me.
The book opens with a boy who witnesses a killing. He then finds himself the target of the next hit. Sounds familiar but what was cool about the story was that the boy is sent to the wilderness for safety as part of a survivalist camp. I was expecting the story to follow along these lines, but it didn't, except to the extent the protagonist became a survival expert within a day or so of being introduced to the concept.
