The first few chapters of this book are absolutely, without a doubt, the most frightening and revolting passages I may have ever encountered whilst reading. Preston, who I'm not the biggest fan of in some of his other works ("Micro," anyone?), really nails his opening here. His descriptions of Patient Zero with Marburg in Africa kept me up all night.

Great book about the Ebola virus that provides an interesting context of the dangers of the disease and how it spreads.
What I learned from this book: Viruses are very scary organisms. They can kill you by eating you from the inside out.
I was almost finished with this book and left it on a plane. I needed to finish it, so I found another copy! It is scary to think about what could happen.
