An outstanding effort by Le Carre. There are some who feel Le Carre lost something when the Berlin Wall came down. The Night Manager, written in 1993, pretty much explodes that. It stands with his best efforts. If I had a complaint, it's the bad guy in this, "Dickie Roper," labeled, repeatedly, "The Worst Man in the World." If so, he's kind of lame.
