Interesting book to read while spending a few days in Iceland. It was a murder mystery but without too much terror and gore. More of a police procedural with many characters. I liked the way the author told the backstory of each character - how their childhood was, what they wanted out of a career, whether or not they lived abroad. this was a 3.5 read for me
Ari Thor is a new police officer who starts his first job in a small Iceland town accessible only by one road which frequently is covered by avalanches in the winter. A local author is found dead in the theater and it may have been murder. There is also a woman found near death bleeding in the snow. Ari is an interesting character and I'd like to learn more about him. The story constantly switches POV's and it's hard to keep track of everyone. The cases were pretty easy to solve. The book does c
