Apparently when I saw this on the Book Riot New Release email, I glossed over the fact it dealt with the sex trade. While I've read some powerful non-fiction on trafficking as well as the sex industry, I really don't do well reading about these topics in the context of fiction for entertainment. It's a hard read. Just a smidge less than 4.0 stars. I was really into the story - thinking how realistic it was - the "one mistake" and everything blows up scenario. Then, the ending. Just a bit too much.

I think the exploitation of young women from the former USSR as a plot device has been overdone and this attempt is no exception.
