Locke & Key is sufficiently creepy with an interesting cast of characters and a whole lot of intrigue. I wasn't a huge fan of the art style if I'm being honest, but it does lend itself to the overall vibe of creepiness and disjointedness in the storytelling. I'm not familiar with Lovecraft that much (I've only read one novel of his), so I was a bit worried at first that I wouldn't get all the references. In the end that didn't matter, I just enjoyed the story. The style was ok. Backgrounds were beautifully drawn, but the people looked occasionally a bit too juvenile for my taste (the boy was wonderfully drawn, though). Overall I'm not sure what I think about the whole concept yet, but maybe I'm able to make my mind when I get my hands on the second
