I'm a big fan of Lebovitz's, and not just because of his recipes. His observations about French and American cultures are spot on and pretty darn funny, and he always has fun anecdotes about Parisian life. Both those things alone would keep my interest in any book, so a book that has these AND is about food keeps me endlessly entertained.

I am a fan of David Lebovitz's blog so I could not wait to read his new cookbook. It does not disappoint! I loved his detailed stories of his life in France. The book is divided into six chapters: Appetizers; First Courses; Main Courses; Sides; Desserts and Pantry. He includes his source information, as well as an ingredients and equipment guide.
